Ajay Menon - President & Executive Director of the Board

Ajay is an Senior Engineering Leader with specialization in Software Development, Operations, Organizational Strategy and Product Innovation. Ajay and his wife Anitha are both avid music lovers, and they have worked as volunteers and organizers for many fine arts and cultural organizations in California and Colorado over the past 2 decades. Ajay's passion for music is well documented as the architect of the most popular Malayalam music information database. He has also produced a prominent music album with vocals from some of the pre-eminent artists from India in 2009. Ajay has an MBA with specialization in International Non Profits Management from University of Colorado, an M.S from Santa Clara University,California and a bachelors in Computer Science from Guindy College of Engineering in India. He is an experienced leader with more than 20+ years in the field of Semiconductors. Currently he works as the Vice President of Development at a Financial Software company.

Anjana Gopakumar - Director, Special Events

Anjana has been settled in Colorado for the last 15 years. She has a Masters in Information Systems and is currently working as a Referral Analyst in CIGNA. Anjana has always been an active participant in the cultural and social scene of Colorado. She was the cultural secretary for the Kerala Association for 3 years. Anjana has always been interested in the finer art forms and believes in the ability of art to understand ones own true self. She is a trained Bharatanatyam dancer and started her association with dance at the age of four under Kalakshetra Aravindan Master. She later continued her dance training under Kalakshetra Paramashivam Master and till date remains deeply interested in the art form. Apart from Bharatanatyam she learnt Kuchupudi from the late Koroda Narasimha Rao for 4 years. She has performed extensively in Kerala including /yearly programs for All India Radio, Trivandrum. She was selected for the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy scholarship when in middle school. Apart from dance and music she is interested in reading, hiking and skiing.

VK Arunkumar - Vice President, Programs

V. K. Arun Kumar is a well-known South Indian Classical (Carnatic) Vocalist living in the Denver area for about 5 years now.

Arun's vocal training began with his paternal grandmother, Smt. C.S. Lalitha,disciple of Late Sri. Kittamani Iyer. Arun's grandmother also absorbed the tradition of 'Sangita Kalanidhi' Smt. T. Brinda and was able to transfer this to him. Over the course of 15 years, under the guidance of 'Sangita Kala Acharya' Guru Smt. Seetha Rajan, one of the senior disciples of doyen Semmangudi Dr. Srinivasa Iyer, Arun has progressively expanded his repertoire to over 2000 compositions including Varnams, Kritis, Javalis, Tillanas, etc. During his time as a student, Arun had the fortune of accepting various laurels and prizes, including titles like 'Sangeetha Sri,' 'Swathi Kiranam,' and 1st Prize from All India Radio competition, conducted at the All India National platform in 1999.

Arun is a B-High grade artiste of the All India Radio, Chennai. He has been giving public performances since 1999, all over India and all around the United States.

Arun has a Masters in Computer Applications and is a Software Engineer by profession, working for CH2M HILL in Denver, CO.

Dr Haricharan Reddy

Hari is a practicing Neuro Radiologist who moved to the Denver area a couple of years back. He was brought up in Ohio, the cradle of Indian fine arts in the United States.

He brings in a fresh perspective to the CFAA board on how to reach out to the members of the community in ways we haven't done so far.

Indira Duggirala - General Secretary and Director, Grants

Indira is a software engineering professional with 15 years of experience in developing software and implementing various product development processes. She hold a bachelors degree in computer science from Purdue University. Indira has been a resident of the Denver area for the last 8 years. She shares a deep interest in illustrated and performing arts with her husband Ravi. She has studied art appreciation and ceramics at Purdue. She has experience working with various non profit organizations including women's support groups, professional mentoring programs and running a food bank. Her most recent volunteer work has been with the Douglas County Schools.

Krish Hariharan - Vice President (Strategy)

Krish Hariharan is the founder and president of Quasar Database Technologies, LLC. specializing in the areas of High End Database Architectures, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence. Krish is proficient in product management, project planning, and execution. Krish Hariharan is also a music composer, music enthusiast and has been playing the piano and keyboard for over 20 years. Krish Hariharan specializes in the South Indian Classical Music form and in the fusion of western harmonies with Indian melodies. He has composed music for several dance ballets and music albums. Krish Hariharan with his wife Priya Hariharan, a professional violinist in the style of the South Indian Classical Music in the Denver Metro Area, have run several fundraiser events for nonprofit organizations such as ASHA. Krish with his wife Priya has run the Rocky Mountain Thyagaraja Festival successfully for the last several years. Krish Hariharan is proficient in audio engineering and serves as Audio Secretary for the TAC, a nonprofit organization.

Ram Vaithianathan - Director, Community Development

Ram Vaithianathan, who hails from Sothern part of India has major in Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. He has been in Denver, CO and licensed in property, Casualty, Life and health insurance and has his own Agency for more than 10 years. He is actively involved in the East Indian community and had been with Hindu Temple and Cultural center of the Rockies as Secretary for more than six years. He had also been with Tamil Association of Colorado as Vice-President for two years and also as membership secretary with India Association of Colorado for four years.

Ramesh is currently a Software Architect at Cisco Systems Inc. Ramesh holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from IIT Madras, and a Ph.D. in Software Architecture from Concordia University, Canada. Ramesh has over 20 years of experience in the data communication and networking industry. He holds US patents in the field and has authored a number of research articles. He has also functioned as an adjunct professor guiding research activities in the field of real-time software systems. Ramesh is originally from Palakkad, Kerala. He loves both Western and Indian classical music. He also enjoys South Indian classical dance.

Sridhar Babu Thummalapenta, known as “Babu” has been a resident of Denver, Colorado for the last 13 years. Babu had started his career as a software professional working with City and County of Denver, and was a key member of the Aspen Project. There after Babu worked as a Software professional in different capacities until 2002.

In 2002 Babu started “Stone City” a one stop shop for all Granite (Natural Stone) needs. Stone City – Imports all the material from all over the world, fabricates and installs granite products. Stone City specializes in Granite Countertops for Kitchens and Bathrooms. In addition to this Stone City is also involved in Construction/ Remodeling such as designing and finishing Basements. Babu manages the operations at Stone City on a day to day basis. Stone City has won several awards such as Gold Star Award from Better Business Bureau (BBB), “Best of Aurora – Granite” by US Local Business Association.

Recently Babu has also been interviewed by one of the renowned consumer advocates Tom Martino on Martino TV and TroubleShooter.com Besides business, Babu has a passion to volunteer with various local and national organizations. Babu is one of the board of directors with Indo American Eye care Organizaton which is a nonprofit helping the needy and less fortunate people in India.

Babu is sole representative for TV9 India AP, for the Rocky mountain region.

He also from time to time participates in various sports clubs such as Cricket, Volley ball and Racquet Ball. Babu is married to Amritha Sridhar and the couple are blessed with 3 wonderful children.

Vishy Lakshmanan is a Senior Technical Manager overseeing Hard-disk Controller SoC (System on Chip) designs at LSI Corporation. Vishy holds a MSEE from Oklahoma State University and has over 15 years of experience in various technical and techno-managerial roles in the semi-conductor industry. Vishy holds multiple patents in the realm of VLSI design implementation/closure and verification and has served as Chair and Technical Advisor on multiple program committees for conferences/symposiums in the field. Vishy and his wife Meera (a senior IT professional, Carnatic musician and Bharatanatyam dancer) being fine-art enthusiasts have volunteered their time for multiple organizations in the Denver area over the last 15 years in various capacities. They bring to both their work and volunteering assignments a deep sense of passion, integrity, leadership and above all the zeal and enthusiasm to excel.
